Torch Songs 1st Birthday Street Party

This International Men’s Day, CALM will take over Soho’s Newburgh Street with a Torch Songs 1st Birthday Street Party, celebrating one year of the music-focused Torch Songs campaign.

With support from new clothing brand MC Overalls, the event will kick off at 2pm on 19 November and will include stripped back, busk-style performances from artists including:

The Boxer Rebellion
Isaac Gracie
Lewis Watson
Tom The Lion
Reigning Days
Tall Children
Joe Taylor
Lewis Fieldhouse

More very special guests will be announced soon.

And that’s not all…

As well as live music, the Newburgh Street shop windows will exhibit the amazing Torch Songs artwork – just like the one of the brilliant Lewis Watson above – as shot by renowned rock photographer, Andy Earl. There will also be (very) limited edition MC Overalls x Torch Songs t-shirts on sale, with all proceeds going to CALM.

Music fans are invited to head on down to Newburgh Street, W1F, and attend the Torch Songs Street Party at 2-5pm on Sunday 19 November, and will be able to follow live updates via #WhatsYourTorchSong on Twitter and Instagram.

Torch Songs was launched in November 2016 to bring together music lovers and top artists in celebrating the power of music to lift us out of life’s low points. Artists including Elbow, Years & Years, The Vaccines and Enter Shikari have released exclusive versions of songs that have inspired them, and music fans have shared their own Torch Songs at festivals, events and online.

James Scroggs, CALM’s Chair of Trustees, said: “This time last year we were humbled by the artists who participated and supported our Torch Song campaign. 12 months on it feels right to continue to celebrate music as a universally powerful tool to lift our spirits and help us find our way through difficult times.”

All Torch Songs tracks are available at, as well as iTunes, YouTube, and on the rather lovely Spotify playlist below.
